How it works
Tell us about the group
Four questions: how many, how much, how often, where the ledger lives today. We show you your Circle with your real data — send the Excel or M-Pesa statements.
Members join from the WhatsApp group
One link, one number each. Members who never open the app still get every reminder and receipt in the group.
Contribute by M-Pesa or in cash
M-Pesa lands and posts itself. Cash is an “I paid” claim the treasurer confirms — until then it is listed, not counted.
Payout, voted and visible
The order is set by the group and changes only by a vote. The payout goes to the member’s M-Pesa with a reference the whole Circle sees.
Rules you can hold us to
- Who can change the ledger?
- Nobody. Entries are postings; a correction is a new posting that references the old one. The treasurer confirms cash — they cannot delete.
- What does the group see on WhatsApp?
- Circle facts only: pot, who has paid, reminders, payout notices. Anyone’s personal balance goes 1:1, never to the group.
- What does it cost?
- Nothing for the Circle. Members’ Save earns the published rate; M-Pesa out carries the published fee.
- Can we leave?
- Yes. Export the ledger as CSV any time — it is yours. Disputes go to a Circle vote, then Pepea mediation (SLA on /trust).
